Survive Down Under is a comedy game by Mas Melbourne Production. It pokes gentle fun at the culture shock of arriving in Australia. It is made for fun and light learning.
Not official. This game is not made, checked or endorsed by any government, police force, road authority, airline, school, tourism body, brand or company. Any names, logos or products you spot belong to their owners and are shown only as everyday scenery.
Not advice. Road rules, biosecurity, beach, wildlife, money and etiquette tips are simplified for play. They are not legal, immigration, driving, medical or safety advice. Rules differ by state and change over time, so always check the official source and follow local signs and staff.
Made-up people. All characters and situations are fictional, and any likeness to a real person is a coincidence. The jokes are affectionate and are not meant to stereotype or put down any person, culture, religion or country.
Wildlife. Please never feed, chase or touch wild animals, and never poke around rock pools.
Art. The artwork was made with the help of AI tools and then edited by hand.
Sounds. Sheep bleats: public-domain recording by earthcalling and a CC0 recording by InverseHypercube (Wikimedia Commons). Magpie song: a recording by Ethmostigmus, CC BY-SA 4.0 (Wikimedia Commons), shortened. More recordings from Pixabay (Pixabay Content License), shortened: DRAGON-STUDIO (crocodile hiss, dog bark, crowd cheer, car crash, cicadas), MagiaZ (crocodile growl), Driken5482 (crowd cheer), Universfield (crowd reactions, car horn, splash), freesound_community (snake hiss, kookaburra, duck quacks, tram and bicycle bells, sneeze, slurp, scissors, crowd murmur, lamb), Buntysmum (galah), spinopel (magpie calls), SoundReality (seagull, fire), ScottishPerson (pouring water), iedurodrigues (duck quack), Alex_Jauk (seagull call).
